My V11 didn't power off normally?

"Failure to power off normally, you may need to replace the battery. Please contact your point of purchase or email us: service@imsvc.com"

If your V11 gave you this error, at least one of the batteries is defective. Here are the next steps:

  1. Open the unit(use the disassembly guide video) until you can access the two large yellow power connectors.
  2. Unplug all connections for both batteries. There are 3 connections for each battery: main power connector(large yellow), charge wire(medium white), data wire(small white). Then, hold down the power button for 30 seconds to bleed all remaining power from the board.
  3. Then, for one battery, plug in the 3 connectors. Plug them in order by size from smallest to largest. The large yellow wire may "pop" but this is normal.
  4. Turn the wheel on, then off. You should see some green status LEDs on the board. Wait 60 seconds. If the status lights are still on then this battery is likely defective.
  5. Turn the wheel back on.
  6. If the "Failure to power off normally" error pops up then that pack is bad. If there is no error and if the green lights turned themselves off during that 60 second waiting period, then the pack is good.
  7. Repeat steps 2-6 with the other battery. Depending on the results, one or both packs will need to be replaced.  After the test, contact us for a new pack(s).
