V11 not turning on after driver / mother board swap
If your V11 isn't turning on after replacing the driver and/or mother boards, you'll need to update the boards.
Updating the boards not only updates the boards to the most current firmware but syncs the driver and mother boards.
- To update the boards, turn the unit on. Even if the unit doesn't turn the status light on, it will activate a "standby state".
- Connect to the unit with the IM app.
- Go into the settings (gear on the top right).
- Scroll down until you see the "firmware update" button.
- Select the "firmware update" button, and confirm the update on the next screen.
- The unit will now update the firmware on the boards through your phone. Make sure to stay connected during the whole process and to keep the unit on until the process is complete!
- You may need to run the update multiple times, depending on how behind the firmware is on the boards. The update may take anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes depending on the firmware that is downloading.
- The unit may give you an error saying "The firmware didn't download correctly". In this case, go back to the firmware update screen and re-download the firmware.
- Try to plug the unit into the charger. This can sometimes boot the unit into activating the motor.
- Once the update is finished, turn the unit on and test the unit to make sure it's fully functional.
