Battery Care
Let's highlight key points to optimize battery care.
- Avoid excessive heat and cold. Do not keep the EUC in your car during hot days. Heat kills batteries.
- To maximize battery lifespan, keep your charge level between 30-80%. This requires you to unplug your charger before it reaches full. With a little practice and understanding of your EUC, you will know when it's time to unplug.
- There is no danger in charging to 100%, but constantly charging to 100% will decrease the lifespan of your battery over time.
- When storing your battery or unit, store it between 30-80% of maximum capacity. Charge the unit at least every 2 months while in storage.
- Unplug the charger when not in use. Leaving the charger plugged into the wall will degrade its internals over time.
- Fast charging the batteries has not been shown to have a long-term detrimental effect on battery lifespan.
- While in Use: Heavy acceleration, high speeds, and heavy deceleration put the most strain on the batteries. Avoiding heavy usage will allow for maximum distance and battery lifespan.
- Avoid water. If water enters the battery then it can result in battery failure and even cause a battery fire.
