How to Identify Your Begode Master Version
Begode has revised the Master several times since 2021. Use the battery cases, battery layout, and motherboard to tell which version you have.
Master V1 (2021–2022)
- Plastic battery cases
- Four 33.6V battery packs (8s4p) wired all in series to reach 134.4V.
- Motherboard has two large capacitors
- Older board mounting that uses long bolts and spacers, with a screwed-down screen
Master V2 / V2.1
- Still plastic battery cases
- Redesigned battery layout: four 67.2V packs (16s), wired two in series and two in parallel for 134.4V.
- Updated controller. Later units have five capacitors on the motherboard.
- "V2.1" usually refers to the updated display fitted to these wheels
Master V3 / V3.1
- Metal battery cases.
- Same 67.2V, two-series/two-parallel battery layout.
- Two-position suspension linkage for adjustable geometry.
- Motherboard bolt patterns differ between V3 and V3.1, so check yours before ordering a replacement. We recommend emailing a picture of your motherboard to the seller to get an exact match.
Master V4 (2024–2025)
- All-new motherboard: taller, with about 10 capacitors, and the screen plugs in with no screws. It does not fit earlier Masters without modification due to the new chassis.
- New large-style display, shared with the EX30 and Master Pro V3.
- Metal battery cases, 67.2V packs in a two-series/two-parallel layout, with Samsung 50S cells
- Improved suspension.
Ordering parts? Motherboards and displays are not interchangeable across all versions, so match your board's bolt pattern and capacitor layout before you buy.
